Aylmer

After Toronto, we went to a little town called Aylmer for a Fred Eaglesmith Charity Picnic. Aylmer is south of London, near St. Thomas. The town itself is a little strange, but cool. Many different types of people around, including Mennonites (which I guess is what made the place seem strange). The show was great - at a campground called the Springwater Conservation Area. It ran for three days and included many different bluegrass/country bands. It was a very small scene too which was cool. We met lots of great people (partied with Eaglesmith's son, which was interesting) and talked to many of the musicians. I could have probably jammed with them too ... but they were a lot better than me.
Here's a picture of the stage on Sunday afternoon. Not many people at this one and I can't remember who is playing but it was the first time I touched the camera all weekend.
Here's the beach. Right next to the stage.
