Best Of...(first installment)
Here is the first taste of our 3-weeks in Sri Lanka. Despite the country's terrible luck, be it civil unrest or the tsunami, this country has everything to offer. What a fantastic place!
Best sunset, hands down. I wouldn't say that Sri Lanka is best known for its sunsets, but we lucked out with this one. Picture us sitting behind the camera after a day on the beach, beer in hand. Ahhh!
We took a tuk-tuk from the beach into Galle City one day to get some cash. The driver stopped at his friend's market stand. Look at these colours!!
This is the best hike we did. An ancient king built his summer kingdom on the top of this rock - Lion's Rock. It was more than 1200 steps to the top. You can imagine the view of the jungles below.
Aren't these two adorable?? We went to an elephant orphanage one afternoon before we caught the train through the mountains and tea plantations. Elephants (young and old) that’ve been hurt or abandoned are brought here. We hung out with them while they ate, followed them to the river, and watched them play in the water. Very cool!!

North,
I almost hate to do this to you but you should see this lineup...http://www.hob.com/tickets/festivals/sasquatch/2006/artists/.
I won't be able to make it either so don't feel too bad...
I suspect there will be a large crew from BC though...at least I hope.
Si,
Already seen it, Si. I'm used to missing all these shows now, so it's fine. Bonarroo is announced as well and for the third, fourth, fifth time (I can't remember when it started), I'll be missing it again. Hopefully there will be some good shows this summer when I'm back in town.
later,
clau

Just arrived home from Pond Hockey at Killarney Lake, so thought I'd take a peak at your pics.
