On Tour

I knew I was going out with a rock star, but now he's a touring rock star! Still living sans camera (which won't be for much longer...we'll be buying one this week), I don't have pictures to post, but Faye and the Slacks were asked to play at the release parties for an English fiction and poetry publication called Pressed...which by the way, Geoff is also published in. They were in Taichung city (the city where we live) two weekends ago, Taipei for 2 shows this weekend, and will go to Kaoshiung (second largest city) next weekend. I hope all this rockin' won't go to his head..........

Holiday

It's a holiday! Five days off work to celebrate the moon! And what better way to do so than ...

Back in the R.O.C.

Well, we're back in Taiwan ... and have been for a month. Things are good and we are both back into our routines. Teaching, jamming, darts, gym (Lindsay), running in the park (for me, sometimes), etc. At first, it was a little depressing coming back. It was a great summer and it seemed harder to leave Canada this time. And when you arrive in Taiwan, it is hot, dirty, and noisy. But once everything settles down and falls into place it feels like home again. Got a long weekend coming up this weekend and then two gigs up in Taipei the following weekend. Hope to see all the boys there.

Here's a shot eastward of Taichung. It's a nice day but still a little smoggy. You can sort of see the mountains in the distance.
